This beautiful variant of Cryptocoryne wendtii is found only in the Mi Oya River in Sri Lanka. It has characteristic reddish-brown, slightly wavy leaves that can be between 20-35 cm long, and rosettes that can be between 15-30 cm wide. Many Cryptocorynes can grow at high temperatures, and in the wild this plant is found in streams with a temperature of over 30 degrees Celsius.

Carefully remove the pot and rock wool, rinse the roots and divide the plant if needed. Plant according to its growth habit; rhizomes remain above the substrate, while stem and rosette plants are planted with their roots in it.
