AquaShrimp
The JBL GH test measures general hardness, the constant hardness of aquarium water. For shrimp, GH is one of the key values to track, especially at water changes and when you mix RO water.
Follow the pack instructions and compare the colour with the scale. Write the result down so you can see changes over time.
Store the reagents cool and dark. A GH test does not replace KH or pH tests – the three values belong together.

Follow the directions carefully, use clean sample containers and avoid contaminating reagents or sensors. Rinse equipment with clean water after testing.
Test at the same time and under similar conditions when comparing values. Also test after major water changes, during problems or before adding sensitive animals.
Digital meters normally require regular calibration and correct sensor storage. Liquid tests should be checked for expiry and stored as directed.
Repeat with a clean sample and check calibration and expiry. Confirm with another method before making major aquarium changes.
