Red Bucephalandra varieties, in pots. Bucephalandra is very similar to Anubias and should be treated in the same way. They usually grow more or less epiphytically in or near water. Bucephalandra sp. 'Red' thrives best in lower light levels and is very easy to grow. The leaves are very dark green or leathery red in color.
Numerous small white dots and sometimes a faint metallic blue color will appear on submerged leaves. The size of the leaves is 2-4 cm wide, 4-6 cm long and usually they have wavy edges. Do not cover the creeping rhizome when planting. This will cause the plant to rot and die.
