About the species
Hygrophila pinnatifida and moss on mangrove wood. Hygrophila pinnatifida comes from India. It has brown, lobed leaves on the surface with a distinct burgundy color underneath. It creates horizontal side shoots and the top shoots should be pinched out to maintain compact and attractive growth.
The horizontal side shoots attach easily to both wood and stone. Growth is moderate, stems 15-40 cm high and 10-20 cm wide, and the color is attractive when planted in small groups against a plain background.
Intense lighting ensures compact growth due to the plant's slow to medium growth rate.
