About the species
A moss specialty from Brazil rooted firmly, called "Christmas tree moss", because of its lateral branching structure that distinguishes it from the common Vesicularia dubyana and looks like spruce branches. It is more demanding than regular Java moss and grows more slowly. It easily attaches to roots and rocks, and as it spreads into the water it needs pruning to keep its shape attractive. See also Taxiphyllum barbieri.
