A moss specialty from Brazil rooted firmly, called "Christmas tree moss", because of its lateral branching structure that distinguishes it from the common Vesicularia dubyana and looks like spruce branches. It is more demanding than regular Java moss and grows more slowly. It easily attaches to roots and rocks, and as it spreads into the water it needs pruning to keep its shape attractive. The plant arrives attached to its decorative material and can be placed directly in the desired position. Make sure it is stable and cannot fall against the glass or animals.
Leave the plant attached to the material. For rhizome plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra and Java fern, the rhizome must not be covered by substrate because it may rot.
Many attached plants grow without added CO₂, although CO₂ and balanced nutrition may improve growth. Match the lighting to the species to discourage algae.
Remove damaged leaves, keep debris off the decoration and allow the plant time to adapt. Avoid moving it repeatedly while it establishes.
