About the species
A very compact variety of Hygrophila corymbosa, with the leaves placed close to the stem. Forms many lateral shoots, which reinforces the compact appearance.
The leaves are dark brown-green when the plant leaves the nursery, but after a transition period in the aquarium they become light green and silvery white on the underside. In strong light, the newest leaves can turn reddish-brown, and in weaker light, the oldest die off after a while.
New lateral shoots are often formed to replace the old ones.
