White Pearl is a white dwarf shrimp of the species Neocaridina palmata. The body carries a milky white, pearl-like sheen that differs from the coloured Neocaridina davidi variants. It is hardy, active and one of the easiest shrimp to start with.

Behavior
White Pearl is a very peaceful and active shrimp that thrives best in a group. It can be kept together with other peaceful shrimp, snails and calm fish species that require similar water values.
Reproduction
• Females usually release up to 40 fully developed shrimplets
• New broods arrive roughly every 4–6 weeks
• The species breeds readily in fresh water under stable conditions

White Pearl is primarily a grazer and feeds on:

Recommendation
White Pearl shows best against a dark substrate and dark background where the white colour gets full contrast. Because it belongs to a different species it does not interbreed with Neocaridina davidi, which makes it a good choice if you want several shrimp in the same aquarium without the colours mixing.
