Prepare everything before catching or moving an animal and work calmly. Minimise time outside the stable aquarium environment and avoid rapid temperature changes.

Dim the lighting, use water with suitable values and provide cover where possible. Acclimate animals slowly when introducing them.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water after use and let it dry. Avoid cleaning agents and do not share equipment between aquariums without suitable disinfection.

Check seams, mesh, valves, lids and other parts so the product is intact and has no openings where animals may become trapped or escape.
