The Classic 2211 is Eheim's simple canister for smaller aquariums. The canister stands outside the tank and water runs through hoses to and from the filter.

Media goes in the bucket. Mechanical media is placed so it catches the coarsest waste first. The filter needs a water-filled hose to start.
