AquaShrimp
An artificial cave stone with a natural look that does not fade in water. It measures 16 × 8.5 × 16 cm and is shaped for good water flow through the openings.
The stone gives shrimp, fry and small fish hiding places and shade. Place it so sand or large wood does not block the holes.
Rinse it before use. Because it is artificial it does not raise hardness the way limestone can.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water and remove loose material. Natural items may be soaked and checked more closely; never use soap or cleaning agents.
Position it securely and check sharp edges, tight openings and loose parts. Animals should be able to use hides without becoming trapped.
Natural materials may release tannins or minerals, with effects varying by product. Follow the description and test the water when keeping sensitive species.
Brush or gently rinse in removed aquarium water when needed. Some biofilm is natural and often provides food for shrimp and snails.
