Environment Aquarium Soil 9L

Product description

Product overview

Glas Garten Environment Aquarium Soil is an active substrate made from various burnt and sterilized soils specially developed for use in aquariums.

It naturally lowers and stabilizes the pH value (to 5.5 - 6.5, depending on the water) as well as the water hardness and creates optimal conditions for shrimps and plants that need soft water. This substrate has properties that make the water crystal clear.

It is rich in natural nutrients for beautiful plant growth and lush, green moss. The fulvic acid it contains improves the environment for plants, animals and microorganisms from day one.

Instructions for use • Do not rinse the substrate before use • Spread the substrate evenly or create your layout as you wish • Add water very carefully and slowly Tip: To avoid mixing up the substrate when filling the tank, you can use a bowl, for example, to break the water flow.

Additional information • GlasGarten Environment Aquarium Soil (not Powder Type) is suitable for use with underground filters. • Not suitable for keeping bottom drifting fish that like to root in the substrate (as this can make the water permanently cloudy).

• Not suitable for fish, shrimp or plants that need a high pH value. • A slight turbidity is possible after the tank is set up and the water is filled, but this will disappear after a short time as the filter works, and the water will become crystal clear.

• Keep the bag closed to prevent the substrate from drying out. Recommended substrate height at least 4 cm Contents: 4 liters Color: black-brown Grain size: 2 - 4 mm Made in Japan

FAQ about Environment Aquarium Soil 9L

What does Environment Aquarium Soil 9L do in the aquarium?

Active soil gives plant roots a porous substrate and may affect pH and hardness. Its effect varies with source water, so test values during cycling.

Should Environment Aquarium Soil 9L be rinsed before use?

Active soil should normally not be rinsed because the granules may break down. Add it gently and fill the aquarium slowly according to the product directions.

Can animals be added immediately?

No, allow the aquarium to cycle fully and monitor ammonia, nitrite and other values before adding shrimp or fish. New active substrates may strongly affect water at first.

How long does the active effect last?

Lifespan depends on source water, maintenance and load. Monitor pH and hardness over time; the substrate may need supplementing or replacement when its effect declines.
