About the species
Anubias sp. 'Petite' is a mutation that appeared in cultivation at the Orient Aquarium Plant Farm in Singapore. It stays at less than 5 cm in height, has very small leaves and a rhizome of 5-10 cm or more from which the leaves grow. It branches well and creates tight groups.
It does not require much like other Anubias species and does not appreciate high light intensity either. It is most decorative when attached to rocks or roots, and like other Anubias species should be secured with fishing line until established.
If planted in the bottom, the roots should not be covered as this can cause the plant to rot and die. An ideal plant for miniature landscapes in small aquariums but it will also attract attention in larger tanks.
