About the species
Anubia's barteri was. nana is a small and attractive plant that thrives in all conditions. It originates from Cameroon and will reach a height of 5-10 cm. The rhizome will be 10-15 cm or more.
The plant grows slowly and the leaves survive for several years, giving the opportunity for slow-growing algae to establish themselves. Best results are achieved by planting the plant on a rock or piece of wood. Fishing line can be used to secure the plant until it takes hold.
If planted on the bottom, the rhizome must not be covered as it tends to rot. The plant often blooms under water. It is not eaten by herbivorous fish. This plant is slightly larger than Anubias barteri var, nana
