About the species

Red Rili is a patterned variant of Neocaridina davidi where the head and tail are strongly red while the middle section is transparent. The contrast between colour and clear midsection makes it one of the most distinctive Neocaridina variants, and care is just as simple as for a Red Cherry.

Behavior

Red Rili is a very peaceful and active shrimp that thrives best in a group. It can be kept together with other peaceful shrimp, snails and calm fish species that require similar water values.

• New broods arrive roughly every 4–6 weeks
• The species breeds readily in fresh water under stable conditions

Red Rili gives a graphic, different impression compared with the solid-coloured variants. The rili pattern is variable, so select for clear separation if you want to keep the quality high. A light background and fine sand show the pattern best.
